WHAT IS ECU TUNNG?
Ecu flashing, also known as remapping is the process of re writing the existing data in your cars ‘brain’ (the ECU, Electronic Control Unit) with an updated and modified file with the aim of improving one or several areas of the vehicle’s performance.

Typically, when a car manufacturer installs an engine into a new vehicle, they install a “one-size-fits-all” engine. An overall system that meets today’s emissions standards. This is all well and good, but the manufacturers have no idea where the buyer lives or the conditions under which the car will be driven. It is logical that a car driving daily in the mountains needs different parameters to a car that spends its life in the city. This, is where ECU tuning comes in.
ECU tuning, or chip tuning is a skill to manipulate certain variables within the engine to increase the engine torque and horsepower. It can also be a benefit for anyone looking to improve fuel efficiency as the ECU software can be modified to manage fuel consumption, fuel injection, airflow, sensors, and more.
